History: Moira was born into a relatively detached Neutral herd. They had few friends and even fewer enemies, but not because of anything more then geographic isolation. The group itself was rather friendly, but unused to strangers after so much time amongst themselves. Moira's mother was one of the few outsiders that made their way into the herd, and one of even fewer that made it into the herd's hearts. Madeline was a Light mare, but she adjusted into the harder lifestyle with a kind smile. The herd's prince quickly fell in love with her, and when spring came in the mountain valley, and filly was born. They named her Moira.
Moira was always very curious, even compared to the few other foals in the herd. Since her mother always told the truth, no matter how hurtful the words, she quickly became attuned to lies made by others. Little movements and differences in pitch of the voice were easy things for her to notice. Because of her youth, when she heard someone lying, she would call them out. This got many of her peers in trouble with their parents, so they shunned her. She was hurt at first, but eventually turned her attention to the adults. They were harder, of course, but after talking to each member a couple of times, she could call their lies in head, if not out loud. Only the most seasoned of liars escaped her gaze.
Being that the herd was isolated, it developed its own sets of myths and superstitions over the generations. Because it was convenient, some of the greedy members of the large herd started spreading rumors of her being possessed. Because she could tell lies, some said that she could read minds. That was a sign of evil, they said. And her coloring was odd. The herd was mainly made up of the Thoroughbred and Paso Fino lines of the lead stag, and maybe a few different breeds, but they were always relatively solid colors. Moira's obvious bi-coloration was fuel for the flame. It didn't help that her Arabian mother, who was so loved, was not bi-colored. She was a simply chestnut.
When Moira turned two, breeding age in the herd, none of the stallions would so much as look at her. Not because she wasn't beautiful, but because by that point everyone pretty much just tolerated her presence. Her mother was her only ally, since her father had to appease the members of his future herd. But Madeline was not one for conflict. Moira eventually got fed up with it, and left.
In the next two years, Moira discovered all that was the outside world. She was intrigued and a little scared at first, but it was all so beautiful. She met with as many equines as she could, but never stayed with any long. Though it might seem stupid to most, she didn't want them to get to know her, because then they might grow to hate her. She enjoyed the brief relationships she had with the others, but always had the urge to go and meet more. She might never settle in one place. It would take an exceptionally strong bond to make it so.
Personality: Moira is generally a kind horse, but is very intuitive when it comes to truth and lies. She's never really experienced a good relationship in the long term, so she generally talks for a bit, stays a few days, and leaves. She can get along with anybody as long as they don't lie to her, regardless of their demeanor. She doesn't care if they treat her badly; she just needs to know the truth of what they're thinking. She's timid around stallions and wary around mares until she knows them well enough. She has a restless spirit, and it will take a special equine to tame her.
Family: Mother, Madeline (Not roleplayed). Father, Renegade (Not roleplayed).
